WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

It's an enormous part of the Cygnets ethos to offer fun, flexible work to creatives across the country: Perhaps you went to Art School many years ago, and are excited to get stuck in with classes - earning money from doing something that you love.
However, equally, you may not be creative at all, but love the idea of running your own school and sourcing amazing artist-teachers to teach your classes!
NECESSARY ATTRIBUTES
-
Core artistic skills/background: we teach traditional art methods so having basic drawing skills is required. (Unless you plan on hiring separate teachers to teach classes.)
-
Strong self-motivation to run your own business and work hard to achieve your goals.
-
Availability within term time and school holidays (if teaching): at least ten state school weeks each term time (after school & Saturdays); at least two days each week of state school half terms (daytimes); at least two days in two separate weeks each state school Easter holiday (daytimes), and at least two days in three separate weeks each state school Summer holiday (daytimes)
-
Strong customers service skills: via telephone, email and in person.
-
Decent spelling and grammatical skills.
-
Ideally located within your territory: you’ll need to get around your area easily and know your community well. So while individuals outside their territory will be considered, it’s beneficial to run the business locally
-
Right to work in the UK and Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. (You don't need to have this already to apply - but you will need to get one before becoming a franchisee)
-
Access to laptop with Photoshop (or similar), as well as basic Photoshop skills.
BONUS ATTRIBUTES
-
Background in arts education
-
Degree or other certificate in arts related subject
-
Experience teaching, leading or working with groups of children
-
A desire to work flexibly around other commitments.
-
Knowledgeable about your local area in terms of families, schools and childcare so that you can set up and market services in the best way possible

-
Looking for quality and excellence in everything that you do. Our programmes are high quality and well respected in the regions they operate, so we will expect a commitment to doing the same within your local area

Happy to work independently and in a growing network: you’ll have opportunity to discuss the business with like minded individuals
